When English newspaper the Daily Mail told television chef and restaurateur Rick Stein that he could choose to go anywhere in the world to write a travel article, he chose Fleurs Place in Moeraki, New Zealand. Why? Come and meet Fleur and judge for yourself!
Fleur is our guest chef for 2011 and what a catch this is. Rick Stein – only the world’s foremost authority on cooking seafood – thinks Fleurs Place in Moeraki is the best in the world. Accolades don’t come much better than this. So aren’t we in for a treat.
This year we are offering the choice of two workshops:
'An Evening with Fleur' on Friday 4 November at the Civic theatre, will be a demonstration including tasty treats, Hunters wine and entertainment provided by Fleur and her French Executive Chef – ooh la la!
Her second workshop is very special. This will be held at Marlborough Boy's College and will provide a very limited number of us the opportunity to create dishes alongside Fleur and her executive chef. At the culmination of this fantastic event both Fleur and Gilbert will join you to dine on the dishes you have created. The food will be matched with fine wines from Hunter's Wines. All the fun and none of the chores, the Marlborough Boy's College will provide kitchen hands for clean up, but with only 24 spaces available tickets will be sold out quickly, so be in quick!
