                                                 Neil Ross - Europeans trends

Many of you may already know Neil from his column in “The New Zealand Gardner Magazine” or his successful gardening books, but for those who are not familiar with him, he was formerly educated at England’s iconic Wye College and has worked in both Europe and NZ. His resume includes Cobham Hall in the UK, Vita Sackville West’s – Sissinghurst Castle (as head plants man for 11 years), a Russell Page Chateau in Switzerland and leading NZ garden- Ayrlies.

After his success in winning gold at the 1994 Ellerslie flower show he was recruited to judge future events. Other Kiwi landmarks that have felt his touch are Govt House, Woodbridge, The Auckland Botanical Gardens, Albert Park and many more.

Neil’s passion for plants and gardens, along with his relaxed style and ability to communicate, will ensure that you are not only educated but entertained whilst enjoying refreshments at the Heartland Hotel.

In his first workshop “Back to the Future” he reflects on the current garden trends in his native UK imparting his knowledge gained from his private clients and garden tours around Britain.

In his second workshop entitled “Cheap Chic” Neil explains that gardening can be an inexpensive pleasure. He will provide you with practical ideas, easy techniques and design inspiration.

Numbers for both workshops are limited so first in, first served.
