Louise is a keen gardener, who completed her apprenticeship at the Christchurch Botanical Gardens. Louise has since completed her National Diploma of Horticulture and is a Tradesman Qualified gardener.
 
Louise has worked with the Christchurch City Council in their central city gardens, before moving to London to work in several parks and gardens.
 
Louise has now returned to New Zealand and now works part time for Christchurch City Council in the Botanical Gardens and in the Curators Garden.
Louise was part of the team that put together the prize winning entry in to the National Flower Bed Competition at the Ellerslie Flower Show, receiving a Gold Medal and a Silver Distinction in the last two events.
 
The workshops that Louise will present are focused on layout, planting, crop rotation, companion planting and much more, utilising vegetables and fruit trees to maximise the area available.
